Procana

Cannabinoid Research Studies

Procana is accepting applications to further its own studies in these areas.

Stroke and Brain Damage

What is a Stroke?

A stroke occurs if the flow of oxygen-rich blood to a portion of the brain is blocked. Without oxygen, brain cells start to die after a few minutes. Sudden bleeding in the brain also can cause a stroke if it damages brain cells. f brain cells die or are damaged because of a stroke, symptoms occur in the parts of the body that these brain cells control. Examples of stroke symptoms include sudden weakness; paralysis or numbness of the face, arms, or legs (paralysis is an inability to move); trouble speaking or understanding speech; and trouble seeing. A stroke is a serious medical condition that requires emergency care. A stroke can cause lasting brain damage, long-term disability, or even death.

Procana Medical Studies [Apply]

Procana is accepting applicants to participate in medical studies of controlled dosage CBD for the treatment of a Stroke. “CBD” Cannabidiol subset studies will be derived from either Cannabis “Marijuana” or Industrial Hemp. Other medical studies may include ratios of “THC” Tetrahydrocannabinol derived from Cannabis, also known as Marijuana to study the treatment for Stroke.

Procana does not warrant, nor does it have approval from the FDA to claim, diagnose or treat any illness or disease with its products containing Hemp, Cannabis or Marijuana with THC or CBD for the treatment of Stroke.

PubMed

Most of the PubMed material consists of abstracts on preclinical research involving single cannabinoid molecules, test tubes, petri dishes, animal experiments, and in some cases human cell-line studies. Although all mammals have cell receptors that respond pharmacologically to cannabinoid compounds, data from animal experiments and other preclinical research is not always applicable to humans.

This data may include articles, surveys, studies or opinions related to THC and CBD from either Marijuana, Cannabis or Hemp in the use of Stroke. This information is for research purposes only, and does not include the use of Procana products.
